Vintage Traffic Light Ceiling Pull | Glow in the Dark Novelty | Mid Century

Vintage novelty ceiling light or ceiling fan pull featuring a traffic light design with red and green lenses. This piece was removed from an estate-sale light fixture and remains attached to its original black metal ball chain, measuring approximately 34 inches long.

The pull is made of both translucent and opaque molded plastic with inset colored lenses. The whitish body displays a faint glow after light exposure, consistent with early novelty phosphorescent treatments rather than modern glow-in-the-dark plastics. Glow is subtle and short-lived, typical of mid-20th-century novelty items.

Decorative pulls like this were commonly used on ceiling lights or fans during the mid-century period (circa 1950s–1960s) and were often chosen for playful or themed interiors.

Condition is good for its age, with light surface wear, age-related yellowing to the plastic, and minor residue con sistent with long-term use. Minor chipping where the ball chain rubs against the top of the fixture.
