Signed hardcover copy of A Place on Earth by Gwen Frostic (Presscraft Papers, 1962). No print number or edition statement. Assumed to be a short run and likely printed on or around 1962. Beautiful poetic writing on nature and the environment with ultimate colored block prints on raw high grade deckled-edged paper and with some translucent pages as well causing a layered image effect. An absolutely gorgeous book from an iconic entrepreneur and activist from Michigan. Printed at Frostic’s own home printing press and publishing company she ran for decades until her passing, and is still in operation under the oversight of her nephew. A very clean copy with mild shelf wear and corner bumps and text block is faintly wavy when book is standing up, but does not appear warped in any way while leading through the pages. Binding is tight and all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
