Featured in the "Japanese Jazz Disc Guide." This is the first album by saxophonist Kosuke Mine, who formed the fusion group "NATIVE SON" with pianist Takuo Honda in the 70s, and it's the first release of THREE BLIND MICE! The lineup includes Takashi Imai (tb), Hideo Ichikawa (p), Takashi Mizuhashi (ba), and Hiroshi Murakami (ds). This is a masterpiece of Japanese spiritual jazz, featuring "MORNINGTIDE," which opens with a cool electric piano by Mine; "ISOTOPE" by Joe Henderson, featuring Mine's superb soprano saxophone performance; and two songs by Hideo Ichikawa, "DREAM EYES" and "WORK 1."
