**THIS IS A REPLICA-NOT ORIGINAL** Edith Wilson ruby red and pearl Heart Brooch/Pin. Made by the company Museum Reproductions. To give information/back history. Museum Reproductions supplies reproduction jewelry to museum gift shops. They work closely with the museums to create either an authentic reproduction or a piece inspired by their collections. They have been the leading supplier for over 50 years.

Now to the interesting stuff! Edith Bolling was gifted this heart pin by Norman Galts and she wore it as a symbol of their friendship. Galts owned a jewelry store in Washington. They married in 1896. Edith is really known for being the First Lady to President Woodrow Wilson. This brooch/pin is at The Smithsonian Institution.

The history/story behind this is fascinating and would be a great little addition to someone who loves history.
Also, the box has definitely seen better days. Box does have tears/rips.

Please message me with any questions. Fast shipping and smoke free home.
